But no, there are still six rounds to go in the 2019/20 season and it all kicked off this week, with Midweek pennant playing on Tuesday and Weekend pennant starting Saturday, January 18.
The Weekend Division 1 game to watch will be Koroit Blue at home to City Gold.
Koroit moved into the top four for the first time this season in the last game before the break at the expense of Mortlake. It will be looking to consolidate its position with a win at home.
In Division 2, fifth-placed Warrnambool Red has a tough task to overcome top of the table City Blue for a chance to make a run at finals.

The Women's finals will see Marjery Whitson (Mortlake) vs Bev Fleming (Terang) and Dorothy Kile (Lawn Tennis) vs Poly Rabl (Dennington).
The Men's games are Kevin Johnson vs Nick Seecamp and Arthur Finch (Timboon) vs David Wells (City).
CLUB NEWS
At Mortlake, Marj Whitson won the A Grade Ladies Singles Championship defeating Dianne Robertson, 25 to 22, in a high standard game.
Warrnambool Bowls Club held a number of Club Championship events over the break. Kevin Boyd won the Men's Singles defeating Jon Klein.
The Women's Triples Champions were Brenda Parker, Jean Harkness and Immy Gil who defeated Brenda Hawker's team.
The Men's Triples title was decided by 1 shot on an extra end with Ben Cornick, Mick Steel and Barry Crimmin overcoming Mark Bowles, John Bowles and John Carroll.
The Women's Pairs saw a come from behind win to Kathleen Brockett and new bowler Barb Hill defeating Brenda Hawker and Pat Boyd.
This Tuesday night will see the Men's B Grade Singles and the Men's Pairs finals played.
Dennington's A Grade singles champions are Neville Swanson and Polly Rabl. The Men's Pairs winners were David Clements and Neville Swanson and the Women's was won by Sheridan Barling and Polly Rabl.
Timboon is inviting ladies to enter teams in their invitation Fours day to be held on Thursday, March 5. Contact the club to secure your place with entries closing on February 27.
