Tim Van Ginneken, who is set to contest night one of classic qualifiers, will lock horns big-name Americans Tim Kaeding and Shane Stewart.

Multiple NASCAR winner Kyle Larson - one of the most high-profile drivers to ever contest the race - will also attempt to qualify on the first night.

Current champion Robbie Farr and former winner James McFadden will also race on opening night.

A car count of 109 will contest the prestigious race, with two qualifying nights on January 24 and 25.

The final night - and A-main - are set for Australia Day.

Van Ginneken said racing big-name drivers was a "buzz".

"The Friday night definitely looks the tougher of the two on paper," he said.

"But if you're going to win it, you have to beat them all anyway.

"The Americans are just another car out there. I'm not afraid to throw a slider in there if I need to."

Van Ginneken is one of eight south-west drivers on the first night.

Brayden Cooley, Jack Lee, Jye O'Keeffe, Darren Mollenoyux, Brock Hallett and Peter Doukas are among the others.

Corey McCullagh, Carly Walsh, Jamie Veal, Adam King, John Vogels, Jake Smith, Robbie Paton, Rhys Baxter and Grant Stansfield are set for night two.
