A Terang grass and scrub fire was quickly brought under control after it broke out near the Terang Harness Racing Club.
Four appliances from Terang, Dixie and Noorat and District brigades worked to bring the blaze under control just after 3pm on Tuesday.
A CFA spokeswoman said the blaze at Dalvui Lane and Princes Highway Terang was under control by around 3.15pm.
"It looked like a small grass and scrub fire and we had four crews attend," she said.
