The Port Fairy Folk Festival has donated $25,000 to BlazeAid for the purchase of a fully-equipped trailer, which will be used to rebuild fences destroyed by the fires.
Port Fairy Folk Festival president John Young said BlazeAid was a great fit for the donation.
"We saw the wonderful work BlazeAid did in our region after the St Patrick's Day fires," Mr Young said.
"It is an organisation that gets out there and has a really positive impact on the recovery process and they are all volunteers.
"There is a nice connection with the festival with BlazeAid founders Kevin and Rhonda Butler regular attendees of the festival."
The folk festival's support of BlazeAid will not stop at the $25,000 donation, with fundraising for the organisation to be held during the festival, which will take place on March 6-9.
Mr Young said the festival would provide a timely platform for fundraising.
"Hopefully the fires are all done by then and the recovery efforts are well underway," he said.
"People want to do what they can to help and we will get some video together of the work BlazeAid does and show it on the screens between acts."
