This year art installations will create a whole new dynamic to the alternative music line-up and experimental artist duo Jesse Stevens and Dean Petersen, who make up Cake Industries, are thrilled to be in the mix.
"We make connectic and mechatronic sculptures," Stevens said.
"We make sculptures that move and our work can be in galleries or in public spaces.
"Our piece for Goomfest is a participatory interactive-based sculpture celebrating the fusion of machines and humans in bicycles."
The pair has worked together since 2006 when they met and brought together their different ideas and created an outlet in Cake Industries to produce their work.
Melbourne-based Cake Industries will also bring its abstract video work to Goomfest 2 on January 18 and 19.
"We wanted to come to Goomfest last year but we had our own festival on," Stevens said.
"We love supporting indie festivals and we'll always be a part of them."
Goomfest 2 follows from last year's inaugural sell-out festival staged on a Wangoom farm. South-west and nation-wide bands, DJs and art installations will perform throughout the two-day camping event.
Last-minute tickets for Goomfest 2 are available through its Facebook page.
