The town's iconic Moyneyana Festival, now in its 72nd year, hosted its New Year's Eve parade on Tuesday evening through the CBD.
More than 10,000 people lined the streets to watch the parade as community groups and clubs put their best foot forward to entertain the crowd.
On New Year's Day, the Port Fairy Community House market and Godfrey's Family Carnival were held side-by-side on Railway Place during the morning.
In the afternoon, crowds moved down to the Moyne River for the annual Duck Derby and Wooden Boat display.
There was also a firing of the cannon to top off a busy start to the new year.
