HE MIGHT be one of Australia's best golfers, but Marc Leishman loves a beer as much as the next bloke.

The world number 27 was on home turf on Friday, launching his highly-anticipated 'Leishman Lager' to the Warrnambool public.
The 36-year-old - a "heavy" beer fan - created the Australian-based lager after tasting success brewing in the United States.
Partners - including Warrnambool-based pair Matt McMahon and Will Shepherd and Leishman's father, Paul - also jumped on board. Now, they're taking the south-west brewing landscape by storm.
"We wanted to do something back here. I decided I liked the taste of full-strength beer, but I don't that it knocks you around as much as it does," Leishman told The Standard.
"We wanted the full-strength taste, with the mid-strength alcohol level.
"I think we've really got it. It's turned out great. We're excited where it might lead."
The father-of-three, based at Virginia Beach, was thrilled several south-west businesses were stocking the beer on tap.
Leishman said the beer - which he described as "easy drinking" - was packed with flavour.
"We all sort of collaborated and we worked out what flavours we liked," he said.
"We've then put our own twist on things. It's come out pretty much how we wanted it to.
"More than half the beer market in Australia is mid-strength beers, so we thought we'd get into that market.
"It's been a pretty good reaction so far."
