The Renegades, who were sent in to bat first, set defending champions the Brisbane Heat a healthy total of 4-163. Wareham chipped in a rapid-fire cameo before being run out on the final ball of their innings.
The 20-year-old's 22, which was her highest score of the season, included three fours and one six.
Wareham was unable to back it up with the ball as the Heat chased down the score with two overs and four wickets to spare.

The leg-spinner finished with 0-33 from her three overs but did take two catches off the bowling of Molly Strano and Carly Leeson.
The Renegades bowlers struggled to contain the Heats power hitters in Maddy Green (46), Grace Harris (43) and player of the match Jess Jonassen (38).
A WBBL grand final berth continues to allude the Renegades, who fell short in a super over defeat to the Sydney Sixers in last season's semi-final. Wareham also played in that game.
