The 36-year-old fired a one-under round of 70 to sit at seven under heading into the last day of the tournament at Sydney's The Australian Golf Club on Sunday.
Leishman collected birdies on the fifth, 12th, 13th and 18th but also finished with three bogeys on the third, seventh and 10th holes.

Australian Matt Jones extended his lead at the top after he heading back into the clubhouse after shooting a three-under round of 68.
American Cameron Tringale is the closest competitor to Jones, sitting three shots behind. Leishman is in a tie for eighth, six shots behind the leader.
