Police are seeking the public's assistance to identify offenders following alleged retail theft in Warrnambool's east. Senior Constable Joe Fischer, of the Warrnambool police crime investigation unit, said an unknown female and male entered the Dan Murphy's liquor store on Warrnambool's Gateway Road on October 15. He said the female took four cans of Jack Daniels and two cans of Smirnoff from the shelf and placed them down her zip-up hooded jumper. She allegedly left the store without paying for the items, worth about $20. The female is described as being caucasian, approximately 160 centimetres tall, wearing a black hooded jumper, black leggings, white socks and thongs. In an unrelated incident on October 1, two unknown female offenders and an unknown male offender entered the Best and Less clothes store at Warrnambool's Gateway Plaza with a pram. Senior Constable Fischer said all three offenders removed items of clothing worth $119 from the shelves and placed them under the pram. CCTV footage obtained by police shows the offenders making no attempt to pay for the items before leaving the store. Any information about the identity of the persons pictured is urged to contact the Warrnambool police station on 5560 1333 or Crime Stoppers.
