Phyliss Hartley, who celebrated her 103rd birthday last Tuesday, returned to one of her favourite places - the bowling green.
The sprightly centenarian played lawn bowls all over the district for several decades alongside her late husband Roland.
On Thursday she was treated to a visit to City Memorial Bowls Club to try out its new undercover green.
"I can't believe it," Mrs Hartley said of the revamped facility.

Mrs Hartley said she loved bowling and had won a number of competitions in her day, including the district fours one year.
"My husband and I used to travel in a caravan all over Australia and we would always take the bowls," she said.
