Cobden's Phoenix Project and Heytesbury House are running an afternoon of opera on the lawn in front of the former hospital on Sunday.
Phoenix Project's Chelsea Wilkinson said the event was a great opportunity to socialise and relax, while enjoying the performers.
"We have four singers, and will be providing people with high tea through out the day," Mrs Wilkinson said.
"There is a bit of a mixture of music, it will be a bit of a showcase. It will be a picnic vibe, and people are encouraged to bring their rugs and relax.
"The Phoenix Project has run a few music events this year, but this will be our first one outdoors."
Established after the 2018 St Patrick's Day bushfires, the Phoenix Project is working to revitalise Cobden and provide opportunities for the community to socialise.
"There are still people who are rebuilding parts of their properties so to give them something to do locally and have an afternoon to themselves and with other people in the town is a huge part of what the Phoenix Project is about," Mrs Wilkinson said.
"It also has flow on effects of bringing people (into the town) which has a flow on effect for the economy."
Heytesbury House owner Kathryn Stubbing said the lawn behind the hedge was a very tranquil space to sit and relax.
"It really works in well with the Phoenix Project, you get to have a little escape and some respite from your troubles for a couple of hours," Mrs Stubbings said.
Tickets for Opera in the Garden are available from TryBooking.
