The Warrnamboool sprintcar star has won a Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic, claimed a Easter Trail series win, a World Series Sprintcars title and a number of race victories here in Australia and around the world.
But an SRA Victorian Sprintcar title had always eluded the racer known affectionately by commentators and fans alike as the "The Real Deal - Jamie Veal".
Victoria's number one is also a title his father Ken had won back in 1990 but now the Veal household can lay claim to having two Victorian champions - a first in the state titles.
Veal led from start to finish in Saturday's 30-lap A-main at Allansford's Premier Speedway to claim the checkered flag in a clean finale.
The highly successful racer started on the front row next to reigning two-time winner David Murcott, who finished just 0.001 of a second ahead in the shootout.
Murcott and fellow Warrnambool driver Darren Mollenoyux chased Veal for most of the feature but he was able to escape their clutches when the front runners hit lapped traffic.

Murcott eventually had to settle for second place while Mollenoyux, who started the A-main in sixth, was not far behind him in third.
A relieved Veal said it was "good to finally get one back on the old bloke (his father)".
"I'm really happy to get it (the Victorian Title)," the SWI Racing driver said.
"I have been second a fair few times and I have been following Murcott over the line the last couple of years so to beat him is pretty cool."
Earlier in the night Veal collected a win in the first heat of the titles before storming from the back of the field into second in his final heat of the evening.
Corey McCullagh (fifth) was the only other Warrnambool driver to finish in the top 10 of the feature race while fellow south-west drivers James McFadden (11th), Peter Doukas (12th) and John Vogels (16th) all made it into the A-main.
Warrnambool's Tim Van Ginneken, who doubled up by racing in the Formula 500 for the Jack Willsher Cup before crashing in the heats, and Busfield's Grant Stansfield were unable to progress through after the B-main.
Sprintcar racing action returns to Premier Speedway on December 14 for Max's Race.
