Warrnambool police will hold another Safe Plate Day this Saturday at the Warrnambool Bunnings store on Raglan Parade between 10am and 1pm.

Senior Constable Mal Agnew, of the Warrnambool police community engagement unit , said officers would be replacing number plate screws of vehicles to prevent theft of the plates.
"Safe Plate Days enable the screws on number plates to be replaced with ones that are unable to be removed," he said.
"This Saturday we are partnering with Bunnings for the event to take place at the Warrnambool store on Raglan Parade.
"Members of the public will be directed by signage to an appropriate area," he said.
The screws helped deter thieves from stealing number plates and using them to commit other crimes.
A number of similar days have been held during the past couple of years.
