"We would like to thank the community for all the shares and their assistance with this matter," a police spokesman said.
The woman was charged and released on bail to attend the Warrnambool Magistrates Court at a later date in relation to the allegations.
Earlier: Warrnambool police have released an image of a woman they wish to identify and speak to after an incident at a city store.
A police spokesman said the woman attended at a Raglan Parade shopping complex at 12.10pm on October 17.
Police have released an image of a woman who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries into obtaining property by deception.
