Teenager Bayley McGowan took a hat-trick for the Crabs against Mailors Flat last week but is unavailable for Saturday's match at Killarney Recreation Reserve due to work commitments.
The Crabs' new acquisition was able to break the 97-run partnership between Daniel and Lachlan Boyle, taking both wickets.
Killarney captain Brayden Buchanan said bowler Oscar Sanderson got the left-arm spinner to the club.
He added that McGowan hadn't played cricket for a couple of years.
McGowan won't be the only one missing from the Crabs' line-up on Saturday.
"We're struggling for a side," Buchanan said.

Jason Hutchins and Brendan McMahon will be missing with family commitments and opening batsman Kyle Buchanan is out with work.
Meanwhile, Sanderson is unable to play because of the clearance rule.
Sanderson wanted to play a match for Koroit in the Warrnambool and District Cricket Association's division two competition prior to the start of the GCA season.
Buchanan said the rule is if you get cleared to the WDCA you can't play in the GCA for a calendar month.
He said the Crabs actually wanted to release Sanderson on a permit but it mistakenly went through as clearance.
Buchanan said the club was unsure of the rule at the time.
He added that the Koroit match Sanderson was due to play was washed out.
"He's missing three games of cricket," Buchanan said.
Sanderson is due back after the league bye next weekend.
Killarney has been able to get full side together for Saturday despite the absences.
Buchanan said the club had been able to draw on its collapsed B grade team.
Meanwhile, Grassmere will be looking to get its second victory of the season after a big win against Yambuk last weekend.
