A quad complaint meant the seam bowler missed the first four fixtures of the season.

But three rain-riddled weeks - in which two games were abandoned - meant Factory largely avoided the hit of his absence.

"I've just been a bit sore," Price said.

"I'm coming to the end of it now. The rain probably hasn't been a bad thing in that sense for me."

Price - part of an under 17 group who graduated to senior cricket under the guidance of Geoff Williams - felt Nestles was on cusp of success but needed to step up.

"Probably the last two or three years we've just been on the outside of finals," Price said.

"We'd get out in a clump of wickets or let a few runs through and it is frustrating.

"We know our time will come. It's just cricket. It has been disappointing because we feel like we're close.

"As a team we're bonding well together and we enjoy each other's company but it's frustrating."

The talented musician, who claimed 17 wickets last season, has played "between 80 and 100" games and is determined to help Nestles taste success.

"I really just want to see it through," he said.

Nestles faces Wesley-CBC as it chases its first win of the season at Wenborn Oval on Saturday. All division one matches have been moved to hard wickets.
