Todd Smedts, 31, of McConnell Street, appeared in Warrnambool Magistrates Court via video link on Friday for a committal mention.
He faces charges of burglary, theft, theft of a motor vehicle, trafficking methamphetamine, dealing with suspected proceeds of crime and possessing firearms as a prohibited person.
A committal hearing will be held in the same court as Mr Smedts contests the charges on June 2 next year.
Mr Smedts has not applied for bail since his arrest four months ago and by the time the contested hearing begins, he will have spent close to 12 months in custody on remand.
A number of witnesses, including a member of the Victoria Police Special Operations Group (SOG), are expected to be cross-examined when the hearing starts.
Co-accused Jackson Fary, 29, of Zeigler Parade, Allansford, could also give evidence, depending on the resolution of his case.
Mr Fary is charged with burglary and theft. He is currently in custody on remand and will appear in court on December 6 for a committal mention.
Mr Smedts was arrested by heavily armed SOG officers using an armoured vehicle at a BP service station in west Warrnambool on June 28.
He was found in possession of a large quantity of methamphetamine and cash believed to be proceeds of crime.
Louise Gavin, 36, of McGregors Road, was also arrested on that day and charged with trafficking and possessing methamphetamine, theft from shop, handling stolen goods and obtaining property by deception.
The majority of those charges stem from unrelated offending.
Gavin pleaded guilty to those charges last week and was jailed for the 120 days she had already served in custody on remand.
The June arrests were a joint operation between Warrnambool police, Victoria Police SOG officers and armed crime squad members , which came after the alleged theft of firearms from a rural south-west property.
