TWO Warrnambool Seahawks and Mermaids junior teams scored overall victories at the Millicent Junior Basketball Tournament over the weekend.

The club had 13 teams travel to the South Australian town of Millicent to participate in various divisions at the annual junior round robin competition.
The Mermaids under 14 side stormed to their title with just one loss as they defeated Portland, the only team to beat it through the group stage, 36-18 in the grand final.
The Seahawks under 14 green side progressed through undefeated to take out the division two black title after defeating Mount Gambier 37-30 in the deciding fixture.
The under 14 girls team, who were coached by Mermaids women's coach Louise Brown, consisted of Eve Covey, Satu Johnstone, Molly McLaren, Summer Millard, Poppy Myers, Shelby O'Sullivan, Matilda Stevens and Lila Wilkinson.

The under 14 boys team, coached by David Mills, featured Finn Castledine, Keegan Haberfield, Moss McInerney, Marco Mentha, Mack Mills, Ryan Mottram, Rylee Parsons and Jye Quick.
Through the pool games Brown's side defeated Great Southern (45-13), Mount Gambier (32-25) and hosts Millicent (45-17) to progress to the decider.
Mills' side, which featured in pool B in their age group division, defeated Great Southern (41-21) before edging past Mount Gambier (19-15) to earn a rest between finals.
In the semi-final they would again overcome Great Southern (42-8) to book a spot in the grand final.
