Kim Kavanagh, BPW south-west president, said the full agenda showed off the city with many women travelling from across the state for the three-day conference.

"Every event across the weekend was wonderful and everything went absolutely to plan," she said.

"It was a great opportunity for members to meet and share what each club does and hear what is done on national and international levels."

BPW is an international group for women and has clubs in 110 countries and is encompassing of women from all walks of life.

The state conference included a Friday night cocktail party at the Pavilion Cafe and Bar before a full day forum with guest speakers at the Lady Bay Resort on Saturday.

The guest speaker list featured women from near and far and included historian Carolyn Rasmussen, south-west farmer and editor Leila McDougall, Associate Professor of Media and Communication Dr Kristy Hess, personal trainer and Zumba instructor Michelle Steere, founder and director of The Peter's Project Foundation Vicki Jellie and athlete and teacher Virginia Moloney.

"The speakers were all really great and diverse," Mrs Kavanagh said.

"Some were funny and others were educational so we all had tears and laughter.

"I was particularly proud of our local guest speakers getting up to share their stories."

Flagstaff Hill hosted the BPW members for dinner and the sound and light show with a special presentation about the maremmas and the penguin program.

The event was capped off on Sunday with a Liebig Street boutique shopping experience.

Present throughout the three-day conference were multiple high-ranking members of the organisation including past national president Judith van Unen, vice-president of BPW International Susan Jones, and BPW Australia president Jacquelyn Graham.

"It was lovely for people to come together and renew their friendships," Mrs Kavanagh said.

"BPW combines networking, advocacy, self-development and local projects to offer a different experience for women of all ages in any profession."
