Singer/songwriter/guitarist Jim Paterson said it was great to be returning to the south-west where many of the band's highlight shows had been performed.
"Most of our highlights have been at the Port Fairy Folk Festival, but there have been so many highlights in the area I can't remember them all," Paterson said.
"Our daughter is 21 now, the week before she was born we were jumping around on the stage in Port Fairy with (Festival director) Jamie McKew on the side with buckets and towels expecting a birth on stage."
Paterson said the Gala will be a visual spectacular involving lots of crowd participation.
"We have played the Lighthouse before for the Rotary Peace Concert, but this will be a special show," he said.
"We will have the Warrnambool pipe band onstage, and highland dancers from Adelaide.
"It's 25 years since we started out and we still get laughs together as a band.
"The show will be lots of fun and very family orientated, good for kids and grandparents and everyone in between.
"We have fans who are 26-years-old now who say they watched us when they were three and four, some who are bringing their own kids along now, we are going through a cycle.
"I can't wait to get to our 50th anniversary."
Paterson praised the crowds in south-west Victoria saying they were similar in nature to those in Glasgow or Edinburgh.
"In your part of the world people go out no matter what," he said.
"It's a bit like Scotland and Ireland where you will go out even if the weather is rubbish, or if you have had a bad week, you just go out and enjoy yourself.
"There is something really different in your part of the world, warm and welcoming."
The BordererS will hit the Lighthouse Theatre stage on Friday November 15. Tickets for the 25th Anniversary Celtic Gala are on sale at the venue.
