The day will kick off with a bacon and egg breakfast at Lake Pertobe at 8am, followed by a show and shine until 10am before the group motors off to Halls Gap.

At 12.30pm there will be a barbecue lunch with a vehicle display and Let's Talk discussion, then the best three cars and bikes will be awarded.

A call in to the Dunkeld Hotel before a $10 dinner at the National Hotel in Woolsthorpe at 6pm will round out the day, where there will be a raffle and auction, live music and camping available.

Let's Talk co-founder John Parkinson said it would be a great family day and shed light on the important issue of mental health.

"We're really hoping this year people will get behind it even more, because essentially they're raising awareness and funds for the Let's Talk foundation, it's to a great cause," he said.

"So many people suffer in silence and what our whole campaign is about is when you are suffering mental health issues that you seek help and the first part of seeking help is actually talking with someone you feel comfortable with.

"Especially for men, men are prone to closing down and shutting down and the tragedy is that six men take their life every day in Australia and we want men at least to change their attitude, to change the culture within this community at the very least and do the right thing by themselves and their loved ones."

He said you didn't have to ride a motorbike or drive a hot rod to be part of the convoy.

"Even if you don't have a hot rod or bike, throw the family in the car and come up for the day," he said.

"Get away from the business of the chatter in your head, appreciate Halls Gap, participate in the things around us because we're just not doing enough of that anymore."
