Street artists helped residents at The Foyer paint over an aged artwork, created by former residents, in the accommodation provider's courtyard.
After the three-month project the wall now displays the word "journey" in bold letters, and includes stencils chosen and painted by the current 12 residents.
Resident Sky Lovell, 21, said she chose three of the stencils that reflected her personality, and said she liked how bright the courtyard had become.
"It represents the journey that that this place brings us," Ms Lovell said of the work overall.
"I think that it's good how it is a wall that you can paint over when new residents come in."
Youth health and wellbeing worker Kyle Byers said the wall was an evolving canvas at The Foyer and the mural could be added to or replaced.
"The old mural didn't represent current resident sat The Foyer and we wanted to make it feel like home to them," Mr Byers said.
"It's given them pride and confidence they can change the world around them. They have the control of where they live and how their home will look."
