Western's open side, coached by Cobden mentor Mel Starr, finished bottom of the round robin ladder but was within two goals of winning four matches.
Western started slow but picked up the pace to build form as the competition progressed.
Raewyn Poumako's under 17 side was more successful, notching eight wins and a draw from 17 fixtures.
Poumako's side finished 10th overall, 16 points off the top four.
Meagan Forth's under 15s, led by a host of Hampden league talent, managed five wins but finished 14th on an 18-team ladder.
