South Warrnambool product Jay Rantall has just broken the record for the grueling two-kilometre time-trial at the AFL Draft Combine.

Rantall smashed the record by 14 seconds, finishing in a time of 5.50 at the Holden Centre.
He also finished equal first in the difficult Yo-Yo running test on Thursday, tying with Vic Country teammate Cooper Stephens on level 21.8.
Rantall said he broke his own personal best time-trial by 16 seconds.
"Yeah it was definitely a grind," he told NAB League after the run.
"I think I was lucky to have Finn (Maginness) there, he pushed me along all the way.
"Got to about 200m left and I didn't think I had much more.
"He kept pushing, I kept pushing."
Sandringham Dragons' Finn Maginness was right behind Rantall and finished in a time of 5.51.
The Roosters product said he wanted to win the time-trial.
"I knew if I was able to win, I would hopefully get my PB," he said.
His previous best was 6.06 at the start of the year.
"To get 5.50, I'm pretty stoked," he said.
Greater Western Victoria Rebels talent manager Phil Partington said he was thrilled for the youngster.
"He's had a really outstanding draft combine," he told The Standard.
"We've had really positive feedback from AFL clubs who have had the opportunity to interview Jay this week.
"His local footy club, South Warrnambool, local school Warrnambool College and his family should be proud of the way he has presented himself this week.
"It's a credit to him, how well he has prepared.
"I wish him all the luck in November in the draft."

Geelong's Jacob Kennerley held the previous 2km time-trial record with a 6.04 run last year.
Carlton's Sam Walsh, who hails from Cobden, finished in a time of 6.07 in 2018.
The 2km run replaced the 3km time-trial in 2017.
Fremantle star Andrew Brayshaw, a number two draft pick, took out the inaugural Yo-Yo test in 2017 after reaching level 22.4.
The Yo-Yo test replaced the beep test in 2017.
Fremantle's Brad Hill (2011), Richmond's Shane Edwards (2006, equal first) and former Sydney 300-gamer Jarrad McVeigh (2002) have also taken out the beep test.
Partington said Rantall had benefited from his experience playing high-level basketball and had brought that to his footy.
Rantall said he had enjoyed the combine.
"It was a great experience and one that I'll treasure," he told NAB League.
