Jessica Wilson, of Princes Highway, Port Fairy, did not apply for bail in Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon.
She has been charged with murder after a man suffered a knife wound and died at Port Fairy during the early hours of Friday morning.
Ms Wilson was remanded in custody to appear in court again on February 21, 2020 for a committal mention hearing.
Magistrate Mark Stratmann ordered a hand-up police brief be prepared by December 10.
The court heard Ms Wilson could be withdrawing from methamphetamine and was taking chronic pain relief medication Suboxone following a recent serious car accident.
