The Saints' footballers made it six straight premierships after holding off a gallant North Warrnambool Eagles in an all-time classic at Reid Oval.

The Eagles had a chance to win their first flag in the dying stages but a Ben Mugavin shot went out on the full.

Koroit won 9.9 (63) to 8.12 (60), capping off another stunning season for the team from Victoria Park.
