Hutt was hurt in the Bombers' two-goal second semi-final win against Warrnambool a fortnight ago.

She was helped from the court at Mortlake's D.C Farran Oval in the opening term and took no further part in the topsy-turvy game.

Starr said Hutt, who combines in the Bombers' goal circle with sisters Jaymie and Emily Finch, would face Koroit in Saturday's decider at Reid Oval.

"She is good to play," she said.

"It was a decent sprain but she did a light training on Saturday and trained fully on Thursday night.

"As long as she gets through this Thursday night she'll play.

"It's a relief having a full side going into a grand final and a relief for her too."

Starr said having her entire team available, as the club strives for its first open netball premiership, was a boost.

"You don't want to go into a grand final down a goalie, so it does give us some versatility," she said ahead of Cobden's second consecutive grand final.

The first-year Cobden mentor, who crossed from Hamilton Kangaroos in the off-season, said Hutt was smart with her recovery approach.

"She did all the right stuff and was really good about managing it so we're confident," she said.

Cobden celebrated on Sunday when midcourter Amy Hammond collected her first Hampden league open netball best and fairest at a vote count at Deakin University's Brother Fox cafe.

Starr believes the nimble wing attack, who made it back-to-back best and fairest wins for the club, will take the honour in her stride.

"She'll go out (on grand final day) and do what she does," she said.

"She's pretty level-headed on the court."

Hammond joined teammate Nadine McNamara and former Bomber Sophie Barr, who tied for the award in 2018, on the honour board.

"The club is thrilled for her. She had a great season and worked hard and it's good to see someone step up from junior ranks and be rewarded," Starr said.

Hammond edged out Koroit's Isabella Baker, 16, for the top award.

The two players will be crucial to their respective side's premiership chances on Saturday.
