The Rams, who were too strong for the Tigers, claimed a 57-30 victory in front of a huge crowd at Lake Bolac.
"Obviously, it's not the result we wanted going down today but I'm very proud of the girls and how the team performed," McCormick said.
"We had lots of combinations on court and everyone gave 110 per cent and that's all you can ask for as a coach."

McCormick praised the efforts of two players she threw into different positions.
Renae Reynolds, who has predominantly played in defence this season, was put in centre.
Meanwhile, Ashlea Spokes played in defence for the first time this year.
The Tigers had won the past three A grade premierships.
But there was something special about the Rams this season.
"We did this 10 years ago with six of those same netballers," first-year coach Sue Balkin-Mitchell said.
The Rams also took out the 2009 premiership.
The playing coach said Eve Duckmanton, Nikayla Lowe and Emma and Kellie Sommerville were among the 2009 group to return to the club this year.
"We're like a family that's had a big reunion and won a premiership," she said.
Balkin-Mitchell also gave special thanks to her assistant coach Laura Pyke.
Goal attack Rebecca Langley, the youngest member of the team, was awarded best on court.
"I love my team this year," the 21-year-old said.
"I've learned so much and I have so much more to learn because of them."
She thanked her key mentors Emma and Kellie Sommerville and Duckmanton for their guidance.
"I would not be the shooter I am today without those three girls, they worked alongside me game after game and week after week," she said.
Langley, who hails from Coleraine, was a top grade shooter for Hamilton Kangaroos in the Hampden league before making the move to the Rams two years ago.
Balkin-Mitchell said Langley had a fantastic season.
"She's as polished a shooter as I've seen," she said.
"She's just incredibly consistent."
Glenthompson-Dunkeld also took out the B grade with a thrilling 28-27 win over Penshurst.
Woorndoo-Mortlake got the cup in the C grade with a 21-18 victory against Penshurst.
