The WDFNL season finished with a bang!
Merrivale, the underdog, caused the upset of the season with a thrilling one-goal win over Nirranda in the grand final.
The Tigers clawed in a two-goal three-quarter time deficit to hit the lead with seconds left on the clock.
It was an exciting end to what was a highly competitive season.
Now it's the Hampden league's time to shine.
Warrnambool will take on Koroit in a blockbuster preliminary final.

To add to this weekend's excitement, the Hampden league's open division best and fairest count will be held on Sunday.
Most coaches are tipping a goalie to take out the top honour.
Meanwhile, students from St Patrick's Koroit and Woolsthorpe primary schools will play in the state netball championships in Melbourne on Friday.
