Saturday
Preliminary Finals: The HFNL competition hit preliminary finals weekend with Warrnambool and Koroit facing off in the A Grade netball, and North Warrnambool Eagles playing Warrnambool in the senior football. Games starting at 1.15pm.
Short Corner: Warrnambool District Hockey Association grand finals start at 11am with Pirates facing Technique in the Under 16's, Submariners play Saints in the women's final at 1pm, and Buccaneers take on Pirates at 3pm in the men's grand final. At the Warrnambool Hockey Field, Cramer St.
Gigs: Tim Netherway and Wild Thing are in the lounge at Koroit's Commercial Hotel from 8pm. Loose Cannons will be firing at Warrnambool's Vic Hotel from 9pm.
Service: A service will be held at the Nullawarre Union Church to celebrate the Life of Private Ainger Vincent Mathieson. His war medals and memorabilia will be presented to the Warrnambool RSL at 4pm.
Sunday
Fun Run: The Warrnambool Running Festival is run from Flagstaff Hill with the course showcasing the amazing sights that the city has to offer. The course varies in terrain and offers four events over three distances 6km walk/run, 12km run and 21km run. from 7am.
Environment: Three environmentally-friendly houses will be open for Sustainable House Day, Warrnambool's Retro River Rest and Jukes Street Renovation, and the Allansford Cottage. Houses will be open from 10.30am to 1pm, register to visit at sustainablehouseday.com
Chook auction: Camperdown Poultry Club are running an auction at Camperdown Showgrounds starting at 10.30am.
Art Exhibition: The Warrnambool and District Artists Society will be showcasing the artwork of Patty Galvez until the end of September. The South-American mixed-medium display is on at the Merri View Gallery from noon-4pm every weekend.
Volunteering: The Volunteer & Participation Expo in on at Warrnambool's Uniting Church, from 1-5pm. 60 community groups from around the south-west will be set up to talk to different organisations about volunteering options and to recruit new members.
Comedy: Fresh from his semi-final appearance on Australia's Got Talent, Dirty Angel Comedy presents Gippsland's Gavin Semple at Warrnambool's Mozart Hall, with support from local and visiting comedians. The two-hour show starts at 5pm.
Boot Scootin': Warrnambool and District Country Music Group present Stephen R Cheney at City Memorial Bowls Club from 1pm.
Live Music: Eastboud Buzz will entertain at Hotel Warrnambool, from 3pm.
Wednesday
Measuring: The IICA Technology Expo featuring many companies showcasing products and services related to the instrumentation, control and automation industry. At City Memorial Bowls Club, Cramer St, from 2pm till 6.30pm.
Thursday
Film Night: Save the Children are holding a fundraising movie night at Warrnambool's Capitol Cinema with a screening of Downton Abbey. Doors open at 12pm for 12.45 start.
Birthday Tribute: The 20th Anniversary 3WAY-FM Hank Williams birthday tribute fundraiser is on at City Memorial Bowls at from 7pm. An impressive array of local and visiting performers will pay tribute to the legendary Hank Williams and raise money to keep 3WAY-FM on the air.
