Police suspect a group of young arsonists may have started a fire that has destroyed homes and forced hundreds of residents to flee on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
Police are currently speaking to a number of juveniles over the Peregian Beach blaze that has destroyed at least two homes and is still burning out of control south of Noosa.
The fire began about 4.30pm on Monday and spread with astonishing speed, with 400 people holed up in evacuation centres across two local government areas.
