"A lot of guys played in their first flag today which is really exciting," he said of the match at Reid Oval.
"A lot of young kids.
"Charlie Scanlon came up from the under 18s so we've got some really good kids coming through."
Another one of the young brigade was Ben Reid.
"I can't even describe the feeling," Reid said.
"To get over the line today was huge, I can't describe it mate, I'm lost for words.
"To play with my first cousin today, Luke Tebble, was huge as well.
"It's such a tight-knit community, it's all about that family aspect."

Fraser, who kicked three majors during the win, praised the efforts of his teammates.
"There was some great work up the ground," he said.
"Our midfielders played really well.
"I was fortunate enough to get on the end of a couple so happy days."
