Walsh's men were too strong for Nirranda and ran out 10.8 (68) to 3.14 (32) victors in the Warrnambool and District league decider at Reid Oval on Saturday.

The first-year coach said it was a flag for his community.

"We've got a really special club, I think there are 26 or 27 people on the committee and hundreds of volunteers who literally put in hours and hours," he said.

"Back in February, we had a day with those people where we asked them lots of questions about what they do and why they do it.

"I just wanted the players to understand that it's not normal to have a club like that, it's pretty special and unique.

"We spoke about 'how do we repay those people?' and the best way to do that is to give everything we've got."

Walsh said his group wanted to give itself every chance of rewarding the people who put in so much effort off the field.

"To get that done today and give them the ultimate reward is pretty special," he said.

After the final siren, the Kolora-Noorat players were mobbed by fans donning black, white and teal.

Walsh said it took a big effort from his team to get back in the match after falling behind by three goals at quarter-time.

"We were up against it," he said.

"Probably halfway through the second quarter it wasn't looking great and it just took a bit of guts and determination from a few players.

"We were able to pinch a couple late which gave us some confidence and momentum into half-time which was important.

"And I thought our third quarter was outstanding."

"A few players made a decision that they weren't going to just roll over and we just found some goals out of nothing," Walsh said.

"The thing I'm most proud of is that we continued to roll the dice."

The Power, which won its second flag in the past three seasons, stormed away in the final quarter kicking four goals to zip.

Walsh said he looked forward to thanking all the people who gave their time and effort to the club.
