Principal Ben van de Camp was presented with a netball uniform and wig by the students.

"I've been well and truly stitched up here," he said with a laugh.

"It's not the first time I've done it, in a previous life I played football for Old Collegians and I had a bet with a couple of students based on the 2017 grand final outcome.

"Collegians lost so subsequently my Monday attire for that game was also wearing a dress."

Mr van de Camp said there was an atmosphere of excitement around the school grounds.

"There was genuine excitement, many kids are predominantly tied up with the Kolora-Noorat Football Netball Club, and a number of kids play in the under 15s football and netball teams," he said.

"A lot of kids are connected with people playing in the senior football team too. They're fiercely passionate."

He said many people felt the club represented their community.

"I think clubs in general are places people feel as though they belong," he said.

"In this modern world, isolation is such big issue, and I think Kolora-Noorat do well to bring people in no matter what age they are.

"It's really important in today's society to have that feeling of belonging."
