Creek faces Kolora-Noorat in the Warrnambool and District league 15 and under netball grand final.

Symons, no stranger to big games, was part of Creek's 13 and under premiership team in 2017.

She said she would love to add another premiership medal to her collection.

"Winning a grand final is just so much fun," she said.

The Emmanuel College Year 9 student said she relished her role as goal keeper.

"You get the opportunity to turn the whole game around by getting intercepts," she said.

Coach Thalia Robertson, who also coaches the club's A grade team, said Symons had a strong year in defence.

The 15-year-old said she had improved her game.

"I think I improved at the end of the last year and brought that into this year," she said.

"I think I've gotten stronger and become a better player.

"Just getting around the player, sticking really close and getting intercepts and rebounds."

While enjoying success on court, Symons has also had to overcome adversity.

"In 2016, I went to the hospital and they told me that I had a neurological condition," she said.

"I get headaches a lot.

"And they tried to figure out what that was.

"I had swollen optic nerves in my eyes which caused headaches.

"And I had too much pressure in my spine so they had to relieve the pressure and I went to the (Royal) Children's Hospital in 2017 and I was there for a week.

"It's been getting better but that's been going for a couple of years now."

The resilient youngster said it didn't stop her from playing netball.

"I kept going, it didn't really interfere with netball," she said.

Symons, who lives with it in her day-to-day life, said it was good she got to do all the things she wanted to do.

"A lot of children have it a lot worse than me so I still get to do stuff I love without worrying about it," she said.

Symons is expecting a great contest with Kolora-Noorat.

She pointed to the fact that her side had beaten the Power by just one goal in two encounters this season.

Creek won the second semi-final 25-24 a fortnight ago.

"They're a very strong side, they never give up during the game," she said.

"They keep putting pressure on the ball.

"They're a very strong team so it should be very close."
