Threlfall confirmed premiership duo Dylan Willsher and Aaron Searle along with Rick Spokes were closing in on a recall for the season finale against Kolora-Noorat.
"They've played a lot of senior footy, have done a good job this year and have put their hands up again," he said.
"We just have to work out who we'll pick tomorrow at selection. All they can do is train well and be positive around the group and they're doing that."

Searle (11 games, 43 goals) and Willsher (14 games) played in last year's flag triumph and have been constant contributors throughout this year's defence.
The pair's last game was the reserves second semi-final defeat to Old Collegians. They did not play in the side's defeat to Merrivale last weekend.
Spokes returned to the club this season and hasn't missed a beat - playing 15 games and slotting 19 goals.
Threlfall said the Blues' depth made selection tougher.
"We've got such a strong squad that we can't fit everyone in and once everyone is available we pick a 21 suitable for that day," he said.
"We have been a reasonable good squad over the past few years and have been able to cover injuries and unavailability when they come."
Threlfall said excitement was building at Nirranda and his side was keeping things normal.
"We won't change our routine and we'll keep doing what we have been," he said.
"We will enjoy our footy and that'll absorb some of the external pressure."
