Acting Sergeant Elissa Smith, of the Warrnambool police divisional response tasking unit, said officers executed a raid at a north Warrnambool property on Monday.
Three firearms were located and three people have been arrested in relation to the execution of that warrant.
A Warrnambool man, 30, and a 27-year-old woman were charged with burglary, theft and being prohibited persons in possession of firearms.
A Tower Hill home was broken into early last week and three firearms and a gun safe stolen.
The house is on the market and the owners are in the process of moving out.
A Warrnambool man was arrested as part of an ongoing investigation last Thursday which led to the police raid on Monday and the recovery of the guns.
"We located three firearms believe to be from a burglary at Tower Hill last week," Acting Sergeant Smith said.
"The 50-year-old owner of the property was arrested, interviewed and charged with possession of cannabis and ammunition. He has been released on bail.
The 30-year-old man was already in custody after being arrested last Thursday on driving matters, including evading police, and for breaching his bail.
He appeared in the Warrnambool court on Monday for a hearing and was remanded in custody until mid October.
Acting Sergeant Smith said the woman was at court to support the man when she was arrested by police.
"It's very nice to have the firearms off the street," she said.
The pair appeared in Warrnambool Magistrates Court late on Tuesday and were remanded in custody until December 6 for a committal mention.
The court heard the woman was waiting acceptance into a rehabilitation facility and would apply for bail at a later date.
