Police have confirmed that missing person Lisa Burton has been located in the Casterton area safe and well.
A 23-year-old male from Mt Gambier has been arrested and is currently assisting police with enquiries.
Police would like to thank members of the public who have assisted and phoned in with information both in Victoria and South Australia.
Police are still searching for the vehicle USJ495 and anyone sighting this vehicle should not approach or touch the vehicle but call police on 000 and notify of its location.
Earlier, Sunday 4pm: Police are seeking assistance to help locate a missing woman known to frequent the south-west area.
Lisa Burton, 37, was last seen in Mount Gambier during the evening of Monday, August 26.
She is believed to be travelling in a gold/bronze 1998 Holden Commodore Sedan (Victorian registration USJ495) with her American Staffordshire dog and a man known to her.
Police believe it is possible Ms Burton is living out of the vehicle and travelling between Portland, Hamilton and Dartmoor and the south-eastern towns of Nangwarry, Tarpeena and Mount Gambier.
She is described as being 165cm tall, slim build, with shoulder length light brown hair and blue eyes.
Ms Burton's family is concerned for her welfare as they have not had any contact from her for several days.
Anyone who spots Lisa Burton or the Holden Commodore or has information on her whereabouts is urged to contact the police assistance line immediately on 131 444.
