The Warrnambool-based driver is preparing to launch another campaign with Kasey Kahne Racing in Pennsylvania in September
McFadden, who last week won Chariots of Thunder from Jamie Veal at Darwin in a brief return to Australia, will jet back to the United States on Tuesday.
He revealed the experience had improved him as an all-round driver.
"It doesn't necessarily make you faster but you become a lot smarter in situations like traffic," McFadden said.
"Racing in and facing more situations helps you. While i'm not necessarily a faster driver, I definitely feel better all-round."
McFadden capped a strong summer in the United States with an eighth-place finish at the prestigious Knoxville Nationals.
The 30-year-old Monte Motorsport driver, who won the 2017 Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic in Allansford, said he was delighted to be invited back to run the Kasey Kahne Racing car.
"They're one of the best teams in the world - they've won a World of Outlaws," he said.
"To be part of such a well-recognised, well-oiled machine is really cool and makes my job a lot easier.
"There's not lots of pressure from them. Well, there is because of who you're racing with but it's fun.
"The team morale is really good and everyone gets along really well."
