Nirranda coach Steph Townsend says her team is injury-free and looking forward to taking on traditional rival Dennington in a semi-final.
The teams, which played off in last year's grand final, will meet at Merrivale Recreation Reserve on Saturday.
Townsend, a goalie, said her team would need to bring its best against an experienced outfit.
"Against Dennington, we really have to win all seven positions on court," she said.
"They are a very well oiled team."
The Dogs are coming off a two-goal upset win over Merrivale in last week's qualifying final.
The Blues had the week off after finishing first on the ladder.
Townsend said she had been busy during the break.
The Blues mentor said she had focused on her team's attacking third, especially the goal circle where she plays.
"I think I spend a lot of time trying to cement the other two thirds and forget to focus on the goal ring," she said.
Townsend said she had worked closely with fellow goalie Sophie Adams and her team's wings.
The Blues leader said she was happy with her side's preparation ahead of the match.
Nirranda had considered playing a practice game against Colac and District league side Alvie last Saturday.
But Townsend said Alvie had 17 and under players participating in a final on Saturday morning which made it difficult to have a match.
The A grade team ended up training at Mack Oval, Russells Creek's home venue, on Saturday.
Nirranda's A reserve side and reserves football team also trained at the venue on Saturday.
All three teams finished on top of their tables and earned the week off.
Townsend said it was convenient because her side has players based at Nirranda and in Warrnambool.
The playing coach said her group also went to watch the club's B grade team win its qualifying final against Russells Creek.
Nirranda defeated Dennington 53-40 in the 2018 decider.
The Blues beat the Dogs 41-36 in round two and 49-30 in round 12 this season.
