The Victorian Road Series event hits Wangoom on Saturday for two stages - including a road race and individual time trial - before finishing with a criterium around Warrnambool Cemetery on Sunday.
Adams, who is assisting Cycling Victoria with this year's edition of the event, said volunteers would help benefit both the event and the participants.
"It makes the event run smother and the more people we have got the less they have to stand out there," he said.
"Anyone who wants to come and watch they can. We probably need to get about 6-8 people on Saturday in two shifts and four or five for the crit on Sunday."
