Heather Clark, 28, of Armstrong Grove, appeared for sentencing in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Wednesday
On July 19 she pleaded guilty to thefts valued at $1000 from surf shops but was bailed to attend rehab.
On Wednesday Victoria Aboriginal Legal Service lawyer Hillary Russell said Clark had now been approved to go into residential rehab at a St Kilda centre and an intake application had been submitted.
Magistrate Ann McGarvie said the whole point of the previous deferral of sentencing in the Koori court was for Clark to go into rehab.
She referred to her notes from the last hearing, saying she had been told the assessment was already completed and Clark would be admitted in weeks.
"What I was told clearly did not occur," she said.
The magistrate adjourned sentencing until November 13 saying she hoped there was more progress than there had been to date.
