Forwards Aaron Searle (calf), Jack Primmer (hamstring) and inside midfielder Johno Benallack (shoulder) need to get through Thursday's training session to show co-coaches Shane Threlfall and Shane Quick they are right to play.
"We need them to get through training and not be sore the next day even if they can get through training we will monitor them to see if they are OK on Friday," Threlfall said.
"Jack trained strongly Tuesday. With his back-hamstring issues we want to make sure it's right.
"Searle has missed couple of weeks now with a calf and he trained strongly and we just want him to get through another night."

The premiership co-coach confirmed Will Paulin (back) will be returning to face Merrivale after he was rested for last week's win over Timboon Demons.
"Will just had a bit of tightness in his back and it was precautionary measure for him last week," he said.
Threlfall said the Blues were close to having their full list on the park with Searle, Primmer and Benallack the final three on the injury list.
The trio, who have scored 85 goals this season, would be handy inclusions for Threlfall-Quick side.
The last time the two sides met Jason Rowan's Merrivale prevailed by 53-points.
Mortlake's DC Farran Oval will play host as they both strive to join Kolora-Noorat in the second semi-final.
