Janna Laird, 37, of Elliott Street, unsuccessfully applied for bail in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Her seven new charges were adjourned until September 6 when she is due to face court on charges of breaching an intervention order that have been put in place until 2060.
Police allege that Ms Laird persistently breached those orders late last year and earlier this year.
She has a long history of similar offending.
Senior Constable Greg Kew said that overnight Tuesday Ms Laird was with three other people at a Warrnambool Wanstead Street address drinking alcohol around a fire in the front yard.
A man at the home said he was going to go and collect money owed and Ms Laird offered to go with him as she knew the debtor.
She then went to the kitchen, obtained a knife and said she wanted to kill people.
About 12.15am there was a verbal dispute and she chased people down the street armed with the knife while making slashing motions and threatening to kill them.
The victims raised the alarm, police attended, the woman became belligerent, uncooperative and she was arrested.
Officers found the knife in the front pocket of her hoodie.
She made no comment in a police interview.
The court was told MS Laird is doing well on a community corrections order imposed in the Warrnambool County Court during February although she has only done 17 of 150 hours of community work.
Ms Laird said she attended drug rehabilitation in December last year and had been clean of illicit substances since then.
She said she had holes in a heart value, attended church weekly and had started a community services course at Tafe.
"Everything has been going really well. This is a minor alleged hiccup. I'm really disappointed this has happened. I'm blown away," Ms Laird said.
Magistrate Mark Stratmann refused bail, saying Ms Laird had failed to show exceptional circumstances that would have allowed her release from custody.
Earlier: A Warrnambool woman with a vendetta against a young man, who armed herself with a kitchen knife to stab him, has been remanded in custody.
Warrnambool police Senior Constable Paul McGovern said that overnight the 37-year-old was drinking heavily in a Wanstead Street home with other people.
Another person at the home wanted to go and picked up money owed to him and the woman armed herself with a 20cm kitchen knife to go and confront a young man.
Those in the house became aware of the woman's intentions and wanted no part of what she was planning.
"The woman has then waved the knife about in the Wanstead Street home, slashing it around," Senior Constable McGovern said.
"Police were called and we located the knife still in her pocket."
The woman was arrested, interviewed, charged with seven offences and remanded in custody to appear in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court today for a bail/remand hearing.
She was charged with two counts each of making threats to inflict serious injury, making threats to kill and assault and the single charge of breaching her bail, which was imposed after being charged with breaching an intervention order.
