The Dogs will be at full-strength, barring the injured Ruby Wilson.
The Josie Bolden-led team went down to the Tigers by 17 goals when the sides met in round 14 but times have changed.
Midcourter Krystal Roads missed that clash and will bring valuable experience to the Dogs' line-up at DC Farran Oval.
Dennington goal shooter Lani Keane, who has netted 369 goals this season, said her team missed Roads' height last time.
She said her teammate had a calming influence on the side and passed well to goalies.
Meanwhile, Dogs goal attack Jess Haberfield has been finding form after missing much of the season with a knee injury.
She played her return game against Merrivale in round 14 and was best-on-court against East Warrnambool in round 17.
"She's got her match-fitness back and is raring to go," Keane said.
Centre and wing attack Alyssa Johnstone is the big in for the Dogs.
Keane said the attacking player was also strong defensively.
"She reads the ball really well," she said.
Johnstone missed the final round against Allansford due to university commitments in Bendigo.
Keane said the Dogs had added an extra training session each week of the past fortnight to help Johnstone get to training.
They have been training on Thursday as well as either Friday or Sunday.
Dennington had otherwise been training one-night a week.
The Tigers have beaten the Dogs twice this season and Keane is well aware of their strengths.
"We need to shut their goalies down - Millie Mahony and Tanaya Harradine," she said.
"They're pretty accurate when they're on."
The Dogs goal shooter said Tigers midcourters Carly Peake, Chantelle Moloney and Elisha Carter were also ones to stop.
Keane said youngster Zoe Fleming got the job on Harradine last time.
The Dogs' defence is also made up of Kristie Bolden, Sue Fleming, Sarah Jacobs and Angela Northcott.
Keane, who has played 390 games and was in the Dogs' 2015 and 2016 premiership teams, is part of a side with plenty of finals experience.
She said that may help with nerves during this year's campaign.
The Dogs' legend said she wasn't sure what she was going to do next season.
She said there were numerous 17 and under players ready to go up to senior grade.
"I'm not going to stand in anyone's way," she said.
Keane said she might drop down into a lower grade next year.
