Port Fairy was the side to knock off the previously unbeaten North Warrnambool Eagles.
The win will do wonders for the Seagulls' confidence and release a large amount of pressure that accompanies an unbeaten side going into the finals as premiership favourites.
Will it be the Eagles last for the season or can another side surprise the minor premiers later this year? We will have to wait to find out.
Over in the Warrnambool and District league, the season is over for six teams while another five prepare to battle for premiership glory.
Kolora-Noorat used the final round to reinforce itself as premiership favourites ahead of a week off thanks to finishing on top of the ladder.
The Power have only been conquered once this season and are looking like a tough opponent come the business end of the season.
Next week's finals sees Nirranda and Merrivale clashing for the second time in three weeks in the qualifying final while Old Collegians will face a refreshed and rampaging Panmure in the elimination final.
