The school's crossing lady, Susan Hand, was recognised for 10 years service at the school's weekly assembly.
Mrs Hand said she loved her job and was looking forward to many years service ahead.
"I love the children and hearing what is going on in their lives," she said.
"They tell me about their families, their pets, school, it is lovely getting to know them.
"It's also really nice to catch up with past students, they are never too cool to stop and say hello."
Mrs Hand has been an advocate for more road safety around schools, helping to get 40kmph flashing signs installed leading into the crossing.
"It is certainly safer for the children to cross the road now than it was 10 years ago," Mrs Hand said.
"The 40 zone and flashing signs have helped and the configuration of the crossing has also improved.
"Drivers are also a lot more aware when they are going through school zones."
