Detective Sergeant Jason von Tunk, from the Portland police crime investigation unit, said unknown offenders broke into the South West Touring Club at Enduro Road in Cape Bridgewater between July 7 and July 18.

"They have attended at that location and forced open the roller door on a storage shed of the club room," he said.

"They've stolen tools, a wheel barrow, diesel fuel, a torch and a 32 inch TV. The total value was approximately $800.

"The burglary was reported on July 19."

Detective Sergeant von Tunk said the club house was located in a very remote area.

"It's been raided at some point and given the location, somebody will have to know something," he said.

"I urge witnesses to contact Portland police or Crime Stoppers."

Police are also investigating a break-in at a property in Portland's Barkly Street.

Detective Sergeant von Tunk said the property was under renovation when thieves gained entry through a back door between 4am and 10am on Saturday.

Tools and a Makita radio worth $390 were stolen.

"Thieves have obviously taken advantage of the property that is undergoing renovations," Detective Sergeant von Tunk said.

"The back door may have been unlocked or easily opened at the time. That has since been rectified by the owner."
