The former serviceman said he was very satisfied after the event to know the community are prepared to support contemporary veterans after taking the win be a single vote.
"We are planning to run a Veteran's Community Information Day, in line with Veteran's Mental Health Week," Mr Kent said.
"We want all the community to come along so we can all learn off each other, it's not just about veterans."
"It is important to help the community understand how to help veterans,
"Veterans often have trouble incorporating back into society after they finish their service."
Mr Kent said there are plans to invite emergency service personnel to the information day.
"They work in a similar high-stress environment," he said.
Other ideas presented at the Beers and Ideas event included plans for a forum to promote live music culture in Warrnambool, an idea to paint a hopscotch game on the pavement in Liebig Street, and a subscription service for heirloom flour varieties.
